PROFILE
V. Kapetanou was born in New York, U.S.A. and is an attorney-at-law admitted to the Athens Bar Association. She obtained her law degree from the Democritus University of Thrace; she holds a Master's degree (LL.M.) from the Law School of the University of Athens in Civil Procedural Law and a Master's degree (LL.M.) from City University of London in International Commercial Law, with specialization in competition law. She is a research fellow at the Research Institute of Procedural Studies and a member of the Greek Association of Procedural Law. She is fluent in English.
V. Kapetanou has extensive experience in commercial, corporate and civil law. She has built a successful litigation practice, which focuses on asset recovery and protection for both creditors and debtors and enforcement procedures on national and international level. She also advises companies on competition issues, trademark protection and intellectual property disputes and handles all types of commercial agreements, such as franchise, distribution, supply and commercial cooperation.
She acts for a bank and is the legal counsel of a medical product company and an Athens Stock Exchange listed company, with commercial and industrial activity in the food and alcoholic beverages sector.

- Acting for the guardian of a high net worth individual in a multinational family dispute taking place in Austria and Greece.
- Defending a Greek ship owner in a dispute concerning a marina berth rental agreement.
- Represented an American citizen in a case related to the attainment of a construction permit for a property situated in an archaeological site.
- Representing a ship owner in a dispute against the Greek State concerning the declassification of forest land.
- Acting for an individual in a case involving competition law issues, a shareholder dispute, joint bank accounts claims and the inheritance of more than 1,000,000€ and considerable real estate assets.
- Acted for a major securities investment company in civil litigations.
- Representing the heirs of a motor vehicle accident victim in pursuing reparation for moral suffering as well as disputing the other parties' counterclaims before the Court of Appeal.
- Defended a Cooperative Association and the local Municipality in a case concerning the annulment of a construction agreement before the Court of Appeal.
- Represented a renowned artist in a family dispute.
- Defending a Greek financial institution in pursuing claims exceeding 3,000,000 €.
- Acted for an Athens Stock Exchange listed company seeking damages over a libelous publication.
- Acted for a 4,000,000 € bondholder company involved in the Greek debt restructuring scheme (haircut).
- Advising an individual in a case concerning real estate worth over 3,500,000 €.
