M. Spanou's areas of legal expertise include corporate and competition law as well as civil law. She represents individuals and corporations in weighty civil and commercial disputes that often have international aspects. She also advises her clients in issues stemming from their day-to-day business activity, having significant experience in commercial agreements and litigation arising thereof. Her work embraces a wide array of business sectors, such as shipping, technology, retail, construction and energy.

M. Spanou is an attorney-at-law admitted to the Court of Appeal and a member of the Athens Bar Association. She graduated from the Athens University Law School and holds a Master's degree (LL.M.) in International Commercial Law from City University of London, U.K. and was a research assistant for Professor Alan Riley in the area of cartels. She is fluent in English.
